Zech 10:1
Ask the LORD for rain in the time of the latter rain.
The LORD will make flashing clouds;
He will give them showers of rain,
Grass in the field for everyone.
NKJV
Why not ask? In the New Testament, Jesus tells us that we don’t have the things we need, because we don’t ask for them. Are we afraid to bother Him with the things we think we should be handling ourselves? Maybe we doubt He will come through for us. Surely not, that would be a lack of faith or trust. Would a good father refuse to supply his son’s needs when he had the resources to meet them? Of course not! So, do we expect less of our Heavenly Father? What? You say He as given us hundreds of promises of provision—implored us to just ask Him. So what are we waiting for? The prophet Zechariah said it very clearly: ask and He will give showers—rain of His presence, rain of His Spirit, rain of His blessing, rain of His power, rain of His love, rain of His healing. So let’s ask and get the rain.
Lord we're your children, and we are asking,
For You to send your fire!
Our hearts are hungry, our spirits are thirsty...
We need to feel the power!
Just like the prophet, said it would be,
In the last days an outpouring we'd see.
Yes, we are waiting...Anticipating,
Lord, won't You send the Holy Ghost now?

Sometimes I think we're afraid to ask because we don't want to risk the possible response.
I agree with Carina, sometimes the answer is not what we hoped for. i must say though that we have had an abundant amount of healing at our house. Thanks be to God.
Janeva,
Catching up with your site and naturally (!) it is all about rain!
As we both spent a portion of our childhood in Cuernavaca I am sure we both share the memories of abundant rain in the state of Morelos!
Rain sounds like music to me. Even more so when the lightning joins in the dance and the thunder provides the percussion! If I had a thematic blog like yours mine would say "thunderstorm". smile
Love to you!
Tammy
