Rain Down Your Presence

Deut 11:11-12
But the land which you cross over to possess is a land of hills and valleys, which drinks water from the rain of heaven, a land for which the LORD your God cares; the eyes of the LORD your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year. NKJV

The land of Canaan, promised over 4,000 years ago to the children of Israel was a beautiful place. God compares it to Egypt. There they had to carry water for their gardens and water them by hand—but in the promised land, that would not be necessary. The land would be watered by the rain of heaven. Why? Because God loved that land. He prepared it for His people, a people who would be set apart to serve Him. And as they trusted Him and served Him, He would send the rain.
What is the land that God has given you? He loves that land too, and has a purpose for it. He will water it with the rain of heaven. You don’t have to carry water for it. Just enjoy its fruit and let Him water it. Just trust and obey.

Let the rain of Your presence fall on me.
Every day that I live, with every breath I breathe.
Let the rain of Your presence fall on me.
Everywhere that I go, Lord, let Your Spirit flow.
Rain on me.
